WHAT IS YIMS ?

We are a community wishing to represent young researchers (students, PhDs, postdocs, Careerstage 1) in the field of mass spectrometry

WHO ARE WE ?

We are a collaboration between 3 young societies around Europe willing to unite all the young
researchers across the world

An initiative by the yNVMS - Netherlands, the DGMS Young Scientists - Germany and the CJSM - France

WHAT IS YOUR MISSION ?

We aim at aiding in career development, networking, visibility and equality within events, meetings, conferences, …

We seek to foster collaboration & knowledge-transfer between young researchers internationally

Description of the activities :

SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS
  • Flash talks (Sunday 23rd): to present your poster to the young community - registration opening soon

  • Full talks (12+3min - Monday 24th): a dedicated talk session showing the diversity, inclusiveness and work of YS - Open for all
OFFICIAL EVENTS
  • Networking workshop (Monday, 24th): Networking 101, a survival guide for MS conference (speakers to be confirmed), an event to strengthen your networking skills and still enjoy conferences

  • Awards ceremony (Thursday 27th afternoon): awards for the network challenge, flashtalk and oral young scientist.
PERMANENT EVENTS
  • Permanent booth in the Agora to meet us with your questions, and build YIMS community together

  • The Networking challenge: to be announced during online communications and at the Agora on Monday 24th, 1.45p.m.
SIDE EVENTS
  • Picnic mixer (Sunday 23rd, lunch after the short courses): a shared time in the lovely rose garden (people not taking short courses are welcome, but lunch is not provided)
